What does it mean to be a BCD student? BCD Students Are... Responsible.
Accountability is increasingly becoming a lost value. At BCD our motto is “Respect Yourself, Respect Others, Take Responsibility for Your Actions.”

“BCD is the ideal school for the motivated, high-achieving, creative and caring child.”– BCD Preschool teacher
Gifts to Boulder Country Day School come from many different people and places. Parents, alumni, parents of alumni, faculty and staff, Board of Trustees, grandparents and corporations all help build the foundation of excellence that distinguishes a BCD education.
Contributions to the Boulder Country Day School Annual Giving Fund support the School's operating expenses. These gifts make up the difference between what it costs to educate a student and the income received from tuition and fees.
Endowment funds are assets that provide support to the school in perpetuity. They are invested and a portion of the investment return provides support to the school's operations. It is the ultimate goal of Boulder Country Day to start an Endowment fund. If you are interested in making a significant contribution to begin the fund, please contact the school administration.
Tuition covers approximately 85% of the anticipated expenses incurred by the school each year. The other 15% must be met by tax-deductible contributions to the annual fund, which go directly to each year's operating budget, or by income from investments. Once the annual expenses are met, these contributions can be used to fund projects and items that may be discretionary but that can significantly enhance our school program. What are the sources of money to run the school? Boulder Country Day receives money from three sources: tuition and other fees; income from investments; and contributions from parents, grandparents, alumni, corporations, foundations, staff and friends.
