BCD to participate in 2015 Great Kindness Challenge

Bulldog Families will meet on January 28th to kick off the Great Kindness Challenge 2015. Students will do two activities in support of this year’s Challenge.
In their Bulldog Family groups, they will participate in the handprint record break. Each student will cut out their handprint and decorate it with a heart in the center. The handprints will be sent to the Great Kindness Challenge to be tallied for a Guinness World Record for the “Most Kind-Hearted Handprints”. During the 2014 challenge they received 10,511 handprints from 39 schools across the nation, and the goal is to collect the remaining 19,495 needed to break the world record.

The second way students will participate is through a Kindness Checklist challenge. Each student will be given a checklist of possible ways to incorporate acts of kindness into their week in fun and engaging ways. Students will record each act performed and checklists will be mailed to the Great Kindness Challenge organization. They will count all of the acts of kindness they receive from all over the country! Last year they tallied 27,724,300 acts of kindness by 554,486 students in 1,099 schools!

We are looking forward to a fun and inspiring week of kindness.
